My husband, Luke, was Zach Hillstead's roommate at the Y. Anyway, I came across your blog, and I absolutely LOVE reading it. I just love what you wrote about having another baby. I have two little boys that are 15 months apart. One is 18 months, and the other is 3 months. I got (and still get) the same reaction from people! It has been a very hard adjustment, but like you said, relationships are so important, and I'm so grateful that they have each other. You are really inspirational, and please know you make me want to be a better person!!Luke and Marinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16570424471361998087noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1379863312612871020.post-46502777268209812972010-11-03T20:34:36.623-06:002010-11-03T20:34:36.623-06:00I just came across your blog and what an inspirati...I just came across your blog and what an inspiration you are. And...you NEVER get around to repairing/sprucing up and using it again. Well, maybe a few things. But it's just not worth the mental baggage. Better to just give it away, have someone else use it before it goes out of style. And freecycle is a god send.

And the flipside is, you don't just have to give stuff away for free, you can also ask for stuff. I've asked for, and received things, that I truly needed and use, and didn't pay a dime. Win/win/win.

Stay on top of it, or you'll end up on that show Hoarders in twenty years, when Goldie and her little sis can't find you or Jake under all your stuff ;) J/K!

Oh, and please don't stop travelling because of the kids. Money can obviously be an issue - but I cannot stress enough how great it is to travel with small kids! They are a key to meeting folks. You can be in the most obscure place in Asia, and you'll have ten new friends because of your little cutie pie. Our youngest got us invited to a family dinner in the Moroccan countryside, I'm not kidding. I'd never experienced such generosity, ever. And also, our oldest learned how to poop in a hole in the ground then, so now he won't grow up all "ew, people poop in holes in the ground", because he's tried it himself, and lived to tell the tale :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1379863312612871020.post-85589867633613273472010-11-02T11:10:49.919-06:002010-11-02T11:10:49.919-06:00My babies are 12 days shy of a year apart. Now that Tabor can crawl (7 months) they are already the best of friends. It is easier to have them both awake then one or the other because they entertain each other and I can still do the dishes while watching them from a distance. Anyway I love having kids so close!Robert & Amber Salmonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07178082056411670962noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1379863312612871020.post-80100814095067221782010-11-02T11:10:13.207-06:002010-11-02T11:10:13.207-06:00my little girl is just over 3 months old and it...my little girl is just over 3 months old and it's taken me this long to "forget" how horrible the first few weeks can be with lack of sleep, nursing woes and the like.

but now i'm like... hmmm, i definitely want another child. not anytime soon, but definitely need to have another.

it's a very personal decision, so good for you for letting the negative comments roll off your back.Livhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03545374359231638275noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1379863312612871020.post-17960226632043682022010-11-02T11:00:30.801-06:002010-11-02T11:00:30.801-06:00i just love this. i love that you share your thoug...i just love this. i love that you share your thoughts like this. it's so refreshing for some reason. i love that you are so positive about life with a baby and a new one on the way. being a mom really is the greatest blessing. anyway, thanks for this. i loved it. :)michael. mindy. dane.https://www.blogger.com/profile/14082068917808037471noreply@blogger.com
