loooong overdue

dearest, dearest nan, this little number is something that i ADORE. i wear it often and every time i do, i remember that you randomly made it for us out of the kindness of your heart. you see, nan was in a fabric store one day and saw this "horrible, ugly fabric" that said samoa across is (jake served in samoa). she figured she'd put it to good use since no one else was ever going to buy it. because she knows how much jake loved and still loves his mission...and because she loves jake and me, she made us this lovely apron. and that's the story. i wear it to cook, to clean, and to do a few other things that you suggested, nan (wink wink). thank you, thank you, thank you!

for those of you who don't know nan slaughter, she is QUITE a talented woman (amazing recipes, cute books, fun projects...you name it, she can do it) and a really close friend of the vela family. you should check out her blog....not only is she talented, but she is pretty hilarious.
