so many things!

and the update is... (drumroll please)...
first of all, we'll be heading to orlando this summer for jake's work.  i'm very excited.
dear beach, epcot, disney, busch gardens, and everything else orlando has to offer:
i'm coming for you.  can't wait.
secondly, the iphone has been returned.  THIS, my friends, is a christmas miracle (really, a tender mercy because i was pretty stressed out).
here is the story. pay attention, it's a good one. i come home from the mall, sad because i have a feeling that i'm never going to get my phone back.  then, as jake and i were sitting on the bed trying to think of what to do, a brilliant idea came to both of our minds at the exact same time. it really came to mine first, but we'll say the same time because jake said he was thinking about the idea the entire time, he just thought to say it out loud right when i did. ok, moving on. we decided to send threatening texts to my phone, hoping that they would read them and get scared.  i hope you have all seen the movie "TAKEN", because this will be even funnier to you.  the text said:
"I don't know if you know anything about iphones, but we have a gps tracking system uploaded and can find you very easily. i may not have money, but i have a very special set of skills, a set of skills that you won't want to mess with. zumies has you on camera, so it's your choice.  return it to the mall information desk by 4 p.m., or i'm coming for you. you have until 4."
after we sent the text, feeling very BAD A (as always), we went about our busy days.  eventually i called AT&T and cancelled that phone service because i had a feeling we weren't getting it back. i then proceeded to the AT&T store to get a new sim card, followed by a trip to walmart to buy a cheap phone to last me until september when i have an upgrade due. iphones are like $400 right now....no thank you. as soon as i put my sim card in my new phone from wally world, i gave jake a call to let him know that i was up and running again.  he proceeded to tell me that my phone had been FOUND: this lady named sheryl called my mom from a seven eleven in sandy, utah, saying that she found the phone by the drink machines around 4 p.m.  4 p.m. people. jake and i were DYING...they totally got scared and ditched the phone at some gas station. they probably looked through my phone, saw pictures of jake, and realized that they didn't want to mess with his very special set of skills.  amazing.
can you believe that story?  i'm back in business...call me whenever.
third item of business: big sky, montana was a BLAST. we had so much fun with my parents.  seeing them just brings happiness to my soul.  i hope they move to utah.  do you hear that, mom and dad? it would be really cool if you moved to utah.

I hear ya...someone stole my phone too. Well, they "found it" and were "honest and kind" enough to take it with them 3 hours away. And they even downloaded facebook too my blackberry but then felt bad and contacted me 4 days later to give it back. I almost died. I'm glad yours is back too!

Wow. I LOVED your iphone story. Happy to read that you got it back in one piece, even.

So you and Jake are going to be in FL for the summer! I can't wait to tell Tapa. Please come and stay with us. I know Orlando has all of the cool park attractions, but really give south Florida a chance too--the Everglades, beaches, the Keys, etc, etc. We have a spare room too, so we won't take no for an answer.

Ok, I am dying over your iphone story. I wish I could see the nervous thieves trying to figure out where to ditch the phone, in fear of Jake finding them. Perfect, you can't make stuff like this up.
