the smoker.

jake is experimenting with the new smoker he got for christmas (thanks zach and katie!). there is currently a 7 lbs slab of brisket smoking away in our backyard. we've never smoked anything before, yes we're new at this. my entire house smells like lighter fluid, and let me tell you why. i walked into the kitchen and jake was warming more coals inside the house. cookie sheet with foil with flames almost up to the ceiling, burning coals. his logic is that he can just add them straight into the smoker without having to let the meat sit, not cooking, for 20 minutes while the new coals burn. i though, why don't you take that logic outside??
boys are funny.
i'm wearing a bandana over my face as i type this. hoorah.
come over if you're hungry. we'll have lots of meat.
