my poor lou-lou.

i'm being 100% serious when i say that goldie honestly hardly cries. it is a rare occasion and when it happens, it is probably the saddest thing ever. she gets the pouty lip and it breaks my heart. ask anyone who has met her: they will tell you that she is the happiest baby, and it's true.
she has never been a fan of lotion being rubbed on after a bath; she loves her baths and doesn't mind being dried off. however, once that lotion hits, she gets a little fussy and basically looks at me like, "if you touch me again with that lotion, i will get you."
we've been getting better though. i rub it in my hands first to get it warm, and i'm very fast now. well, today she wasn't having it. i did the usual routine as fast as i could, and i don't know if she saw something that truly scared her or if it was simply the lotion, but she started wailing like i haven't heard in a very long time. i didn't even finish getting her dressed, i just wrapped her up in a blanket and held her close, trying to calm her down. eventually she did, poor little thing. it was very sad, and i always hate when she cries like that because i don't always know what's wrong. i guess that's what moms do. we cuddle and comfort either way.
her little stork kiss was quite red (this happens when she's mad), and soon enough she was out.
i had to document because i love her mouth so much in this picture on my shoulder (thank you again, iphone). you can just tell that she is completely worn out. i am fresh from doing p90x, so don't mind me.
love my goldie girl.

Cohen is 2 now, and when he gets mad enough or cries really hard his stork bite reappears. It's crazy!

such a cute post. I believe you about the crying...Brixton doesn't cry unless something is really wrong...and I totally do the "warm the lotion up in my hands as fast as I can" maneuver too....
okay, so I ordered P90X last week, and will get it in about a week. How are you liking it? I can't wait to get started!

I've said it before and I'll say it again (and again), she is PRECIOUS! It is so funny to me that you call her Lou-lou...I have a sister who has called me that since I was a wee one! It's not a common nickname (or at least I haven't heard it used often!).
