BEFORE:
This used to be our guest room and it was really cute, in my opinion. I swear I had a before picture with the bed and everything that used to be in there but can't find it. Whatever. Again, these are all iphone photos and for that I apologize. You can see the nasty brown crib on the right (garage sale, $60... shouldn't have even paid that much for it. I've learned my lesson). Dresser has been left the same but with new knobs (you can see the one that I have on it in the photo). Walls have been left unpainted (so unlike me, but I am tired and actually liked the end result). So, I have the nursery that I originally created for Goldie when she was born and has been living/sleeping in until now. See photos here. That will now be for new baby and this room is Goldie's new "big girl" room. We've been playing in there a lot, reading books, changing clothes, and just recently she's started sleeping in there. The first night was rough but it's all good now. Love that girl.
And can I just say that the crib was a pain in the butt to paint? Almost worst idea ever, but it turned out cute and I was very happy I did it.
My goal with this room was to use what I already had in my house (for the most part). The rug used to be in our room and became my inspiration for everything else. The chair was given to my by my mother-in-law when we first got married and I love it. I used the old dresser, like I said. I bought new curtains (on sale), a new bookshelf (which you can kind of see in one of the photos), and a few new pillows and bedding (all of which I got on sale). I feel pretty great about how it turned out. I wish it was my room!
AFTER:
This was before I put up the prints.
And after. I am so in love with this room. And I'm so happy that Goldie loves it too.
Cheers for baby girls!

Good job! I love it.
I love it. I can't get over how fun it is to decorate for girls. I just redid the area above Robyn's dresser and I had a blast. I super duper love that rug you used. Superb.
DARLING. I love you! You are so talented. I wouldn't have been able to put all those things together, but I love the end result. Very very cute. Can I hire you?
Looks amazing like always!
Darling! A little more grown up but still totally a nursery for that baby that she still is... And must always be, am I right? They are getting too grown up.
soooo cute. I'm so impressed that she won't reach up and pull those frames down! You are so creative. That rug is so cute too!
