worst thing about owning our town home = HOA fees and all the crap that goes along with it.
we've had so many problems with our HOA stuff because they can't keep any of it straight. can't tell you how many times i've tried to set up automatic payments straight from our checking account. sure enough, when i'm thinking all is well in vela land, we get a notice that says we're late on our payment. we're never late on payments on anything, simply because i'm anal about it. why didn't it come out of our checking automatically? oh, right, because they didn't complete the process like they said they would months ago. anyway. i'm frustrated. and i'm tired. but i have so much to do, so i'm going to go do it. just needed to vent. BAH!

oh i hear ya. can't have my mortage paid automatically. can't pay over the phone because bank of af is in the DARK AGES! you should get a house, then you also get the joys of hearing your husband whine about mowing the lawn and then you can wake up to your neighbor telling you that your yard is flooding and the water is leaking into your basement...

we've been having hoa problems too! when we moved in 4 years ago the previous owners said hoa's were optional. so of course we didn't pay them... but now they are saying we need to start paying them and we DO NOT have the money for it now. with husband out of work we have a few more important areas to place our money than hoa. i hope you get your hoa problem figured out. :)
