oh my.

my home and i are currently in a serious state of disarray. while normally this would stress me out, i have decided that i am going to enjoy myself, take my time, and make my home better by taking my time. normally i am completely OCD and have to have everything done, unpacked, cleaned and organized within two days of arriving home. unfortunately, i am pretty sick right now-- sore throat, horrible headaches, congestion...you name it. plus i think i just feel worn down from all the traveling. with all that said, i simply don't have the energy to get it all done like i used to. and that's okay. it's refreshing not to be psycho about petty things. i am feeling much more organized and i am getting rid of so many things. this brings me happiness. anyway, i could go on and on. the above picture shows two little gems that i found while unpacking/organizing old things. two fire orange/red tea cups, bought in a russian antique store in latvia almost 3 years ago. i totally forgot i had them. they were wrapped up in some paper, looking quite lonely. without spending a dime, i had something "new" to display, which made me feel happy. i've decided i am going to start shopping in my own home. this + taking my time = happiness. off to work on the kitchen some more.

LOVE them. i've been doing the same sort of thing. yesterday i deep cleaned my bathroom like you wouldn't believe. i want to take my time yet i want the house down in one shot. it's annoying it can't all be clean at once! i could take a lesson from you.

p.s. i am also sick. lame.
