terrible, horrible, no good very bad day.

so this is giada's ray tray, and i've coveted it for a very long time.  i had researched awhile back and found that the white was custom made just for giada.  but of course.  well, good news!  they are back in stock and i was so excited about it.  so i go to the website, all excited to make a purchase....and i see the price.

$125.00

oh my gosh.  just forget it.

we've had a very long day (and night for that matter) here in the vela household.  goldie is teething big time...was up all night.  woke up with a fever (100.8), runny nose, puffy eyes, very warm hands, no appetite, and a worsening diaper rash that's been here for almost a week now.  it was getting better until today, of course.  her longest nap today has been one hour.  she's been asleep for maybe 30 minutes now and i'm really praying (seriously, i was on my knees.  i feel so freaking bad for her) that she'll get a good, long, much needed nap.

oh look at her.  is your heart breaking too?

we're hoping for a better night tonight.  i could use some sleep myself.  just saying.

what a day.  here's to tomorrow.

no fun.. no fun at all.

the best treatment for diaper rash is no treatment at all! If you let their little bum air dry after a change it'll get better faster - so if you're willing to let her "run free" for a little while it'll help her out!

I splurged on Giada's ray tray back in February. Strange Valentine's present for my husband but it's really the only thing I've ever heard him say he "wanted" after seeing it on her kitchen counter. The price did sting at first, but I don't even think about it now, it's lovely. Hope G feels better!!

Genevieve gets horrible diaper rashes when she's teething... my doctor told me to let her bum air out as much as possible and use maylox and vaseline instead of desitine. It works miracles. Tylenol, and those baby teething tablets help too. hopefully, things get better and both of you get some sleep.

I swear by Boudreaux's Butt Paste, Amazing stuff. My babes bum was so raw it was bleeding and desitin and aquaphor didn't help. I could never just let my baby hang out without a diaper on all day, he'd be peeing all over the place! And lots of Tylenol or Motrin(lasts 6-8 hrs. so I'd use it at night), and I've heard the teething tablets are good too. Good luck and it's be over soon!

Oh my we seriously had the EXACT same day today. I was on the verge of screaming one to many times. Mason will not let me put him down. I had to hold him for 4 hours straight. He cried, his nose is running, wont eat. AHHH i feel ya girl!

I feel kinda weird posting on your blog since I don't personally know you. I think you're a friend of a friend, anyway the best thing for diaper rashes is Bag Balm. Farmers use it on their cows udders, you could even use it Lanolin. I know for a fact that Kohlers in Highland sells it! Good luck!

Teething stinks. Syd has started to do the teething thing too (I know...she's only about 4 months old). No teeth yet, but she definitely is in pain sometimes to the point where she can't nurse. I <3 Orajel.

Poor Goldie...and mommy! It'll pass. :)

that poor little sweetness. She is so cute Jenna. Teething really is awful. Like other's mentioned, orajel worked for my kids....
