that's a lot of flash.

goldie, the crazy horse, and i attempting to play and be normal on england time.

so we just got to europe this morning, the UK to be exact, and i'm so happy we're here.  yes the flights felt a little long at times (this little one is a very light sleeper... and not a good sleeper on airplanes, ever...), but all in all goldie was fun and happy with only a few minor breakdowns.  we had this rude stewardess who i felt like was basically telling me how to parent my child, and my blood started to boil.  jake said she was just doing her job, and i agreed sort of... oh anyway whatever.  the point is i am very glad that part of the trip is over (round 2 in just a few weeks...pray), and we're here and having fun with my parents.  they moved to the UK this past summer temporarily so it's a good excuse to get over here.  AUTUMN IS IN FULL EFFECT HERE.  gosh, thank you.  it's about time.  we walked around tonight with our scarves on and i felt so great about it.  the air was crisp and the leaves are changing... it's like heaven.  they live in this quaint and wonderful little town, overlooking a river.  it's so quiet and slow-paced; a dream come true for me right now.  we have plans to travel to other countries while we're here, but part of me just wants to be a homebody and enjoy doing nothing.

it's 1:41 am UK time and goldie and i are the only ones up.  she thinks it's play time.  i wonder if she's confused because it's pitch black out.  she's currently in a shirt and her diaper playing with stacking cups from bibby (aka grandma, my mom).  she got caught up on sleep today with a 5.5 hour nap, and then another 3-4 hour nap tonight.  her "bedtime" (utah time) is in one hour and i am definitely looking forward to it.  i could use some sleep myself.  she is so fun though.  just a happy little lark.

i don't really have much else to say.  jake is back, obviously, and i can't tell you what a dream that is.  life is just better when we're all together.  we're movin' and shakin', getting stuff down around the house, going on walks, laughing, eating, playing.  goldie is glad to have her dad back.  and i'm glad to have husband home.  missed him.

so yeah we're here for the next few weeks... paris and scotland await us and i'm so excited to see both.  i'm also excited to relax here at my parents house, walk around their town, eat at the small places, cross the bridge over the river... it will be nice.  it already has been.  cheerio!

How fun! Interesing timing, I'm thinking about a quick jaunt to London on Thursday for a friend's book release, but not sure if it's worth the money and the train trip.
